My name is Lisa Bauer and I would like to personally welcome you to Baby Blanket Cafe. We are a family owned and operated American business located in the heart of Wisconsin, near the Wisconsin Dells area.

What do we offer? We custom make your baby blanket to your specifications.. choices include fabric, color, size, trimming and personalization. We do all the shopping, cutting, planning, sewing and embroidering; you get to do the fun stuff - designing it!

Who am I.. and what do I know about baby blankets? My obsession with quality baby blankets began when I became a mother and continued to grow with the birth of each of my four children. They taught me early on how important a blanket can be in the life of a child. When they were sick, scared or just tired, their "blankie" was the only thing that would comfort them. I can't tell you how many times we had to return home after pulling out of the driveway because someone's "blankie" had been left behind! My children are a little older now, but their blankets will always be treasured and are a permanent part of our decor - hanging around on beds and couches. Blankets that used and loved must be made to last!

In 2000, I began making embroidered "story" blankets and eventually opened my first website www.sew-adorable.com. As Sew-Adorable grew, we decided to offer more blanket styles to choose from. It didn't take long to realize how difficult it is to find quality blankets, made in the USA, at reasonable prices. We made the decision to start making our own blankets so we could have exactly what we wanted.

Out of my frustration of not being able to find baby blankets that were to my specifications (without breaking the bank), the idea of Baby Blanket Cafe was born. Sew-Adorable concentrates on letting our customers compose beautiful messages to be embroidered on our blankets; and while the option of adding simple messages is offered at Baby Blanket Cafe, the focus is on the designing of the actual blanket itself

Why the name Baby Blanket Cafe? I chose the name Baby Blanket Cafe because, just like a favorite small town cafe, we strive to provide you with personal service, made-from-scratch quality, reasonable pricing and "a la carte" options. Your blanket is always made just how you want it.

What's the plan? Baby Blanket Cafe will remain a small company catering to you, our individual customer. We have chosen to not inflate our prices in order to be able to offer wholesale pricing to other companies. We will not ship the production of our blankets overseas and when you call to talk to us, chances are you'll get me on the phone and be able to work directly with the owner of the company!
